A PERFECT COLOR MATCH- BENJAMIN MOORE & TEXAS PAINT BRIGHTEN DALLAS WALKS THE WALK!

bENJAMIN MOORE & TEXAS PAINT ARE THE OFFICIAL DALLAS WALKS THE WALK PAINT SPONSORS!

Dallas Walks The Walk has been blessed by many in the design community. This passion project would not be possible without the efforts of the 6 hard working design firms who have committed to designing a new future in the halls of Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, uplifting its dedication to community service. While the commitment that Layered Dimensions, Yates Desygn, Fonde Interiors, Amy Joyce Designs, Burkle Creative, and Angeline Guido Design is truly commendable, we all recognize that none of this would be possible without the generosity of others.

It is with great pleasure, then, that we announce our first Dallas Walks the Walk Vendor Spotlight, celebrating the official paint sponsorship of Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint.

The AGD TEAM and our best buddy, Curtis, prepping for Knight Construction to start painting!

In the very early stages of Dallas Walks The Walk, Christina & Grayson from Layered Dimensions reached and told me that they had a great conversation with their Benjamin Moore representative, JanMarie, and that I should give her a call. Little did I know that they were introducing me to one of our project’s biggest cheerleaders and guardian angels. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting JanMarie, let me just tell you she is a bright light of a human being. Positive energy just radiates from her, and one cannot help but feel better about the world after having spent time with her.

JanMarie wasted no time in scheduling a phone conference with her Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint colleagues. It was truly an honor for Angeline, Marci, and I to get to share with the teams the mission and goals of Dallas Walks The Walk. They all could not have been kinder to us. When Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint offered to be the project’s official paint sponsor, we were all floored. By stepping in and becoming the first major vendor to commit to Dallas Walks The Walk, Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint changed the course of this endeavor for the better.

Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint knew right away that Scuff-X® would be the perfect product to help us achieve our goal of style and durability. Scuff-X® is described as “a high-performance, one-component latex paint specifically engineered to deliver outstanding performance and protection for the toughest high-traffic areas in busy commercial spaces.”

OLUMC knows a thing or two about high traffic areas with hundreds of people pass through the halls of the historic building every month. The church welcomes volunteers, friends in need of care and compassion, or the many neighbors who find a safe and welcoming space to meet at 3014 Oak Lawn. It is here we are reminded we are all part of a community.

The massive undertaking of the 1st phase painting began this past Monday when Gus, Sergio, and the team from Knight Construction brought their skills and talents to the 1st floor of OLUMC. The entire corridor, Pastor’s Hallway, and 3 multi-use meeting rooms are being scrapped, primed, and painted as I write these words. In the last couple of days, members of OLUMC have texted to share how grateful and excited they are that this beloved building is getting a makeover benefitting its status as the heart of a community.

Dallas Walks The Walks wants to say a heartfelt thank you to Benjamin Moore & Texas Paint, JanMarie, and all of the guys at Knight Construction! We could not be doing this without you!
